Guilford County Jail Visitation

Inmates on suicide watch are limited to attorney visits unless additional authorization is granted.

Phones, Funds, and Property

Phone and messaging service is through Pay Tel Communications, with 1-800-PAYTELL listed in the research. Inmates can send secure messages through tablets. Money deposits may be made with paper currency, cashier checks, or money orders at reception areas. Money orders, certified checks, and cashier checks may also be mailed directly to the facility where the inmate is housed. The Greensboro lobby kiosk accepts money 24/7. High Point deposit hours had conflicting text in the research, so confirm current kiosk or cash hours with the facility before visiting.

Books must ship directly from a publisher, internet distributor, or book club, and the research limits the rule to paperback books with no hardcovers. Clothing for Superior or Federal Court appearances may be exchanged Monday-Friday, except visitation hours and holidays. Inmates may release funds or property to adults with valid photo ID during the weekday release window listed by the detention rules.
